Mecqae Colligan
Mecqae Colligan has been at SJMS for 5 years where her bands have consistently received superior ratings at the Jordan District Music Performance Assessment. Mecqae Colligan is an Assistant Director for the BHS Marching Band and is currently the Director of Bands and Fine Arts Department Chair at South Jordan Middle School. Growing up in Riverton, she graduated from Bingham High School in 1999 where she performed in the Bingham Marching Band, Pep Band, Wind Symphony, and Symphony Orchestra. She later received her Bachelors of Music Degree with Honors at Utah State University where she studied clarinet with Nicholas Morrison, and was president of Tau Beta Sigma. Today Miss Colligan regularly performs with Wasatch Winds, pit orchestras though out the Salt Lake Valley, and instructs a private clarinet studio. Currently she lives in Sandy with two friends and her fish Pete.
