Jacob Bagley


Jacob Bagley is a student at the University of Utah and is majoring in percussion performance. He participates in 4 ensembles at the U of U: Utah Philharmonic, marching band, percussion ensemble, and pep band. Although Jake is pursuing a career in orchestral performance, he maintains proficiency in rudimental drumming and drumset. Jake has had the opportunity and privilege of studying with Dan Chamberlain, Jay Lawrence (BYU/U of U), Doug Wolf (Utah Symphony/U of U), Danny Soulier (BYU/U of U), and George Brown (Utah Symphony/U of U).

Mr. Bagley graduated from Alta High School. and participated in Alta’s percussion ensemble, which placed 3rd twice at the Utah Day of Percussion. He played in the award winning jazz ensemble and was named an “outstanding soloist” at the state jazz festival. In his senior year, Jake was the center snare/instructor of Alta’s drumline and placed 3rd in the high school mallet category at the Utah Day of Percussion. He was given a “superior” rating for a mallet solo and timpani solo. and was the music Sterling Scholar of Alta High School.
