This is an individualized semester course in the use of technology integrated into music. It is strongly recommended that AP Music Theory is taken prior to the taking of this class. The class will focus on electronic sequencing, multi-track recording, mix-down & manipulation of sound files and their integration into original compositions, and computer-assisted music writing using the latest in music software. A background in basic piano skills, computer skills, and in music reading skills is preferred, but not required. Basic music theory will be taught in the beginning to give all students an equal general knowledge. Supplies such as blank CD's, a flash drive, etc. are required.
